Spanish PPA in Progression Stages 2 & 3

Charlotte was invited to offer Spanish PPA sessions to our pupils in our Junior School (now Progression stages 2 & 3 under the new Curriculum for Wales Specification) in April 2022. Every child from year 3 to year 6 was given the opportunity to take part in Charlotte's Lingotot Sessions and it was a real leveller for all abilities as she focussed on oral communication skills in line with our School Development Plan. 

The children have loved learning with her in their weekly sessions and I have enjoyed popping in to their sessions to say Hola and see the children soaking up the experience.The sessions she delivers are engaging, fun, focussed and challenging and the children have developed basic conversational skills which they practise with confidence, whilst also learning about the spanish speaking world and some of their customs. We always knew when "Mrs Spanish" was on her way to the staff room as we would hear choruses of iHola! and Que tal? in the playground.
