Bonjour!

My name is Sarah and I run Lingotot classes in the Cheam and Sutton area! I am married to Dave and we have two children, Thomas (11) and Evie (9).

I was a French and German teacher in a local grammar school for 10 years and was also Head of Department but, 8 years ago, I decided to launch my own children’s language business in a bid to engage youngsters in the joy of learning a foreign language at a much earlier age.

I love working with younger children as they are the perfect age for learning to speak a foreign language. I have been teaching secondary age students for the past decade but have always believed strongly that 11 is simply too old to start learning a language.

Having lived and worked in France as well as studying French and German at university I am passionate about sharing my love not only of the language but of the culture too.

Lingotot is currently delivered to more than 10,000 children every week across the UK. The interactive and engaging learning format aims to introduce pre-school and primary-age children to a range of languages such as French, German, Mandarin and Spanish. The structured lessons are delivered in an interactive format to encourage understanding and instil confidence in languages at an early age.

Lingotot Sutton has grown a lot over the past few years and I now have built up a team and have four tutors working for me: Avril, Madalina, Lauren and Veronique!

Lingotot Sutton currently works with 4 nurseries in the area and we run 11 after school clubs in local schools. We also teach lessons to KS2 children in several primary schools which we are very proud about! We can help primary schools by providing PPA cover, providing an expert linguist to deliver the lessons, freeing up teachers and TAs and ensuring all children at KS2 are taught our programme which is of the highest quality as we are fully accredited by NCFE CACHE, an OfQual regulated awarding body.
